Earthing or Grounding Benefits – Feel The Difference!

Do you like the feel of grass under your feet, or the sand in between your toes, well enjoy more barefoot contact with the Earth, because that is what Earthing or Grounding really is!

As a kid we loved walking barefoot everywhere… yes it was because it felt good on our feet, but also because our bodies felt the benefits too. If we could go back to those days we would be better off, the Earth has energy to share but only if we are in direct contact.

Am I doing it right?

You are earthing correctly if you are putting your bare feet on the ground in dirt, grass, sand or concrete, even better for conduction if it is wet. You can be walking, sitting, or laying down on the Earth and your body picks up the negatively charged electrons from the earth and it has an antioxidant effect protecting us from inflammation and boosting our immune system. Earthing has also shown us improvement in circulation, inflammation, cortisol levels, sleep, anxiety and stress and much more.

Humans are positively charged with electrons, and the Earth is negatively charged and this contact balances our bodies as we absorb the negative electrons.

Are EMF’s affecting me?

Earthing prevents EMF’s or electromagnetic field charges that are running through our bodies from having a negative effect. The wiring in our homes and workplace transmit and receive these electromagnetic fields. As well, many things add to our electromagnetic environment: cell phone towers, WiFi, wireless routers, satellite TV and cordless phones. These devices also introduce significant spikes to the electric field in the wiring, when switching on or off.

Some people are very sensitive to electromagnetic fields and can feel its ill effects, while others do not notice it at all. These electric fields are present everywhere in our environment and unfortunately we need to learn to live with them as technology is advancing not standing still and it is impossible to prevent exposure unless you are willing to live away from mainstream life as we know it.

When there is injury or inflammation, your body gets rid of bacteria by white blood cells. This process produces positively charged molecules that need to be neutralized when healed. The earth’s negative charges provides a shut off for preventing the inflammatory process from continuing and damaging healthy tissues. This is one of the important reasons why your body needs negative charges. Food based antioxidants are also helpful in supplying negative electrons from the earth as well.

Why is this happening?

Everything changed when we stopped wearing all leather shoes. We moved to partial leather, rubber and plastic in the soles. People were no longer sleeping on the ground. We chose what was more comfortable and convenient and we started blocking the flow of electrons to our body.

After 30 minutes of earthing, many people report feeling improvement in a wide range of ailments, including chronic fatigue. Some products sold that people use to simulate the same effects of walking barefoot are the earthing sheets and earthing mats. What does it cure?

Earthing is not a cure for any disease or disorder, but a body having contact with the Earth, will function better than without contact. The body has the ability to deliver electrons from your feet to all parts of your body. When you give your body the free electrons it needs, either through diet or earthing, you reduce inflammation which is one of the primary factors contributing to premature aging and chronic disease.
